Debbie Boyce
Hi there, I’m Debbie and I have worked at Windsor Walk for 15 years. I enjoy my job and find it very rewarding.  Although some areas of my work can be a little challenging, when completed, I am always left feeling like I have fulfilled my purpose.

My main responsibilities at Windsor Walk are to assist the residents on a daily basis to help improve their standard of living and their quality of life. I will always be there for a tenant in need of support and I’m happy to help them get through the difficult days.

I work Monday to Friday and Saturday lunch times. Once a month, on a Saturday, you will find me working in our charity shop. In my spare time, I love going out on my boat up in Northampton but I’m not one to sit back and relax so I also enjoy cleaning and scrubbing the deck!

Margaret Hall
Hello. My name is Margaret and I have worked at Windsor Walk for 21 years. I am second in charge and have qualifications in first aid, health & safety and mental health awareness. I absolutely love my job and for me, the best part of working in mental health is the rewarding feeling I get when I watch tenants improve.

My main responsibilities is to cook and clean, take tenants to various appointments at the hospital, dentist etc, manage and oversee all tenants housing benefits and to be on 24 hour call. I also support the tenants in their daily lives and activities and help sort any problems they may be having.

I work Monday to Friday and once a month I will work on a Saturday in the charity shop. In my spare time I enjoy watching the soaps and having a good movie night but most of all I enjoy spending time with my family and going out for nice dinners.

Joan Hobbs
Hi, I’m Joan, I came to Windsor Walk to cover for Margaret whilst she was on holiday for two weeks and now eleven years later they still can’t get rid of me!

During my time at Windsor Walk, there have been both happy and sad times but over the years it has been incredibly rewarding. My favourite part of my work is the exhilarating feeling I get knowing that I have made some difference to people’s lives.

My main responsibilities at Windsor Walk is to prepare the rooms and flats ready for new tenants moving in, taking tenants on weekend breaks, holidays and day trips, doing the weekly food shop for the resident’s meals and helping out with the cleaning and cooking. I am also known as ‘Mrs. Fix It’ and do my fair share of DIY. I support Aly in the office when I can and I am the manager of our very own charity shop. However, my biggest responsibility is to support the tenants and improve their quality of life, even when it means staying after hours and looking after poorly tenants.

In my spare time I enjoy gardening and take every chance I get to hit the boot sales and grab a good bargain.

Ava Mathias Moriba
Hi, I’m Ava. I began working at Windsor Walk in September 2002, and so here I am 14 years later I still love my job! The best part of my work for me is being able to talk to the tenants and to offer support when needed.

My main responsibilities are to assist our tenants with making their breakfasts, support them to tidy their rooms and with other activities of daily living. I also help at the charity shop where I usually work alongside volunteers, some of which are Windsor Walk tenants.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and watching TV. My favourite programs are, the reality shows, like ‘Cheaters’ and ‘Extreme Makeover’.
